Indiana Dems Chastise Young, Stutzman Vote for a Federal Government Shutdown

INDIANAPOLIS – Drew Anderson, communications director for the Indiana Democratic Party, released the following statement after Todd Young and Marlin Stutzman, candidates for United States Senate, voted for a federal government shutdown.

“Todd Young and Marlin Stutzman failed everyday Hoosiers today when they chose to put their ideology – an agenda pushed by the Washington elite – ahead of the overall well-being of our nation. But this is what Hoosiers should expect because much like Mike Pence, both congressmen would rather score political points with their base than help improve the lives of their constituents. We can do better, and it begins by electing Democrats who will bring forth commonsense ideas that would help lead Indiana and the entire nation into the future.”
