Visit Hendricks County Staff Recognized at Indiana Tourism Conference

DANVILLE, IN (March 25, 2026) –Visit Hendricks County (VHC) team members earned professional honors, contributed as conference presenters and continued to elevate their position as statewide leaders at the recent Indiana Tourism Conference in Indianapolis.

VHC’s Director (VP) of Marketing Strategy, Kyle Johnson, graduated from the 2026 Indiana Tourism Academy, receiving his Certified Indiana Tourism Professional (CITP) designation at a ceremony during the conference. Johnson capped off his year-long experience with a presentation about how he led VHC’s extensive rebranding process.

“I’m proud to have completed the Indiana Tourism Academy and grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside industry peers,” Johnson said. “The experience reinforced new ideas and strategies that I’m excited to put into action to drive meaningful impact for Hendricks County.”

At the same ceremony, Digital Content Coordinator Ali Adams was accepted into the 2027 Indiana Tourism Academy. Johnson and Adams were also among those who presented or moderated educational sessions during the conference.

Johnson moderated a panel featuring VHC’s Tourism Marketing Manager, Meghan Waggoner, who highlighted how the organization’s travel guide earned statewide recognition. Adams participated in a panel sharing her expertise as a leading social media professional in the tourism industry, while Executive Director/CEO Jaime Bohler Smith co-presented a Tourism 101 session for attendees new to the industry.
