State Road 236 closing near Danville for box culvert replacement project on or after August 15

HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces State Road 236 will close on or after Tuesday, August 15 for a box culvert replacement project near Danville. The road will be closed between S.R. 39 and Co. Rd. 200 N. through mid-November, weather permitting. 

The official detour follows S.R. 75 to U.S. 36 E. to S.R. 39 N. and back. 

This contract was awarded to Crackers Demo, LLC for $2 million. It also involves a box culvert replacement project on State Road 39, a bridge replacement project on U.S. 136, and terminal joint patching along U.S. 36. The entire contract is expected to be completed in June of 2024.
