Hendricks County Master Gardeners Gardening for All Ages – April 26th

(DANVILLE, IND. – January 13, 2024) The Hendricks County Master Gardeners have announced that their annual Gardening for All Ages event will be held on April 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds & Conference Complex in Danville, Indiana.

The free-admission Gardening for All Ages show will have garden-related vendors and community groups with plants, garden décor, bird-watching supplies, and advice to make this year’s garden your best ever. “We are very excited to share the date for our38th annual spring garden show ,” said GFAA co-chair Vicki Coleman. “Our committee, along with my co-chair Susan Gackenheimer, is hard at work to make this the most successful show ever, so please mark your calendar and plan to attend.

Beginning at 9:30 a.m., Hendricks County Master Gardeners and exhibitors will present educational programs, which are all also free to attend. Times, presenters and topics will be announced soon.

The Hendricks County Master Gardeners will be distributing free vegetable and flower seeds, along with trees from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Free trees (available on a first-come basis) will include Shagbark Hickory, Pawpaw, Persimmon, Tulip Tree, Gray Dogwood and American Plum. Many of these native trees are difficult to find at local nurseries. In addition, food trucks will offer lunch options.
