See live raptors up close, visit bald eagle nesting and hunting areas, and more during Turkey Run State Park’s Eagles in Flight weekend, Jan. 29-31.
Live raptor programs will include owls and hawks and an eagle. Visitors can help count eagles in the wild as they leave their overnight roost in the morning. Other activities include seeing a researcher capture and band songbirds, nighttime owl prowl hikes and daytime winter walks.
The Friends of Turkey Run and Shades State Parks group will host a silent auction featuring books, art, houseplants, sweets and a variety of new and gently used items.
Program admission for the three-day event is $15 for ages 13 and older, and $10 for ages 4-12. Children younger than 4 are free.
