Juvenile operating ORV hit by motorcycle (Morgan County)

Dec 3, 2017–Indiana Conservation Officers investigated an ORV crash that injured an 11 year old juvenile male. The crash occurred today around 1:30pm on Whetstine Road just north of Railroad Road in Morgan County.

The juvenile was on a Monster Moto mini bike and following his grandpa who was on a lawn mower. The juvenile attempted to turn around in the roadway when he pulled in front of a Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Wayne Luther (62) of Indianapolis.

The juvenile sustained injuries to his wrist, torso and leg. He was transported to IU Health-Morgan and transferred to Riley Hospital for Children. He is in stable condition. Mr. Luther did not sustain any injuries due to the crash.

Neither the juvenile nor Mr. Luther were wearing any safety gear at the time of the crash.

Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a contributing factor in this crash.
