PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces State Road 240 (S.R. 240) will close on or after Friday, April 1 for a bridge rehabilitation project east of Greencastle over Deer Creek.
Duncan Robertson, Inc. was awarded the $341,882 contract. This project will overlay the deck located just over four miles east of U.S. 231. The roadway is scheduled to reopen July 31 of this year.
The detour follows U.S. 231 south to U.S. 40 east to S.R. 75 north and back to S.R. 240. Traffic traveling in the opposite direction will use the same detour in reverse.
