State Sen. Pete Miller (R-Brownsburg, left) honors John Davies (right) for 50 years of service to the Fillmore Volunteer Fire Department (FVFD) during a special ceremony Sunday, March 13, at the fire department. Davies serves as the Indiana Volunteer Firefighter’s Association District 11-B Secretary, and has also served as a lieutenant, captain, assistant chief and chief of the FVFD. Miller sponsored a proclamation during the 2016 session recognizing Davies for his commitment to service and presented Davies with a copy of the proclamation during the ceremony.
