(INDIANAPOLIS) – The
Ruins at Holliday Park received the highest honor of the Monumental Award
tonight at the Indy Chamber’s annual Monumental Awards gala. The premier awards
ceremony honored the most significant achievements by individuals and
businesses that contribute to excellence in architecture, interior design,
landscape architecture, construction, real estate development, neighborhood
revitalization, engineering, innovative reuse and public art throughout the
Indianapolis region.
“The Monumental Awards are intended to showcase not only the vision and
talents of the Indy Region’s design, engineering, and construction industries,
but also the importance of preservation of our historic city,” explains
Mario Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority and
Chairman of the Monumental Awards Committee. “The Ruins are the perfect
representation of this kind of neighborhood-driven preservation
project.”
The winner of the Monumental Award was selected by an impartial jury of
community and professional leaders from the Indianapolis region. All awards
were deliberated by sanctioning organizations selected from the specific area
