Sixth Annual Big Go Block Party Kicks Off Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals Festivities – August 20th

Brownsburg, Ind. — Race down to the sixth annual Big Go Block Party on Tuesday, August 20 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on the Brownsburg Town Hall Green to meet pro racers from the National Hot Rod Association’s (NHRA) Mello Yellow Drag Racing Series!

The fanfest hosted by the Town of Brownsburg with the NHRA, Lucas Oil Raceway, Don Schumacher Racing and John Force Racing also features family activities, entertainment and concessions. Drivers from John Force Racing, Don Schumacher Racing and several other teams will sign autographs from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Car buffs can view drag racing show cars on display and classic cars in Walt’s Hot Rod cruise-in. Kids can bounce around on inflatable games in the Kramer Companies Kids Zone. Food trucks will offer hot and cold concessions while attendees enjoy live music.

The celebration reminds Hendricks County of its strong racing heritage and the economic impact of Lucas Oil Raceway, the county’s number one visitor destination. The world’s biggest drag race, the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals, is held annually at the raceway over Labor Day weekend. Known as “The Big Go,” the event features more than 1,000 competitors in 12 categories.  Exhibitor applications are open for organizations and businesses that have an interactive display for race fans attending the event.
