INDIANAPOLIS—On Sunday, April 17, 2016, IMPD Homicide detectives began an investigation into the shooting death of 18-year-old Anthony Morris in the 2000 block of East 30th Street. During the course of this investigation, detectives were able to gather information from several cooperating individuals that had direct knowledge or witnessed this shooting. On May 23rd, detectives were able to obtain arrest warrants for the following individuals for their alleged involvement in this shooting:
- 23-year-old Tyree Henning for Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Tyree was arrested on June 9th and remains in custody at the Marion County Jail.
- 33-year-old Cornisha Johnson for Aiding in Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Cornisha was arrested on May 24th and remains in custody at the Marion County Jail.
- 17-year-old Tyren Henning for Aiding in Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Tyren was arrested on May 29th and remains in custody at the Marion County Jail.
- 17-year-old Tywain Henning for Aiding in Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Tywain remains at-large at this time and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Detectives believe a dispute over a cell phone precipitated this incident. Detectives allege the Henning brothers and Cornisha Johnson attacked Anthony Morris inside of a business. During the attack, Morris was shot and killed.
