Hendricks Symphony Orchestra and Chorus Presents ‘Athenaeum Pops Legacy’ Concert – September 24th & 26th

The Hendricks Symphony Orchestra and Chorus under the direction of Benjamin G. Del Vecchio present their season-opening concert, “Athenaeum Pops Legacy” on Friday, September 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 26 at 3 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church (575 W. Northfield Drive, Brownsburg.) This concert will feature music from the Athenaeum Pops Library.

The concert opens with Rossini’s William Tell Overture performed by the Hendricks Symphony Orchestra. Other orchestral pieces include Leroy Anderson’s Blue Tango, selections from Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story and Brahms’ Hungarian Dances, numbers five and six. Choral features will include Edward Elgar’s Three Bavarian Dances, “My Wild Irish Rose” and “When You and I Were Young Maggie.” Tickets for Athenaeum Pops Legacy are available at the door for $18 adult, $15 senior and $7 student (with I.D.) Discounted tickets may be purchased online at www.hendrickssymphony.org/season-outlook or at the following locations: Brownsburg, Clayton and Danville Public Libraries, Hendricks County Bank, Hendricks County Branches of the State Bank, and Hendricks County Branches of North Salem State Bank. The discounted ticket price is $15 adults, $12 seniors and $5 for students with I.D.

In an effort to ensure the safety of our patrons, all Hendricks Symphony musicians and support staff are fully vaccinated. Audience members are asked to respect the masking policy of the hosting venue. The Symphony is obligated to follow the church’s guidelines, and to inform our patrons that we intend to do so.

You can still purchase season tickets online or at this concert. Adult tickets are $60, senior tickets are $50, student tickets are $20, and the family package of two adults and up to six students is $125. Season tickets may be purchased at www.hendrickssymphony.org/season-outlook
