An address from the director of the Purdue University Climate Change Research Center keynotes the annual Soil & Water Conservation District meeting Jan. 28.
Jeffrey Dukes will talk about the center’s work collecting information and weather data to evaluate climate effects on Indiana.
The meeting, convening at 6 p.m. at the county fairgrounds, includes district supervisor elections and a review of district work over the past year.
Tickets, which include a catered meal by Lizton’s Rusted Silo, are $5; they can be purchased at the district office, 195 Meadow Dr. in Danville, or at the door.
The annual meeting also will see awards given for outstanding conservation efforts.
