SUMMARY:U. S. Military Veteran Indiana Property Tax Credit Workshop
DESCRIPTION:American Legion Colonel Billie J Holmes Memorial Post 331 will host a free “United States Military Veteran’s Indiana Property Tax Credit Workshop. presented by the Hendricks County Veteran’s Service Office and the Hendricks County Auditor’s Office on Saturday August 29th\, 2026 at 1 p.m. The workshop will be presented at Post 331\, 636 East Main Street\, Brownsburg\, IN 46112. \n\n\n\nThe informational workshop is designed to ensure US military veterans and their families understand benefits available to them. \n\n\n\nThe property tax credit is available to veterans who have been awarded at least a 10% VA Service Connected Disability. \n\n\n\nTo qualify\, the service member must have lived in Indiana for at least 1 year and the home being claimed must be the veterans primary property. \n\n\n\nThe tax credits are graduated: $250.00 credit for veterans who are at least 10% service connected disability\, over 62 years of age and have served at least 90 days active military duty and were honorably discharged. A $350.00 credit is offered to those veterans who qualify at the $250.00 but also served during time of hostilities as sited by the Department of War. These credits can be stacked together for a total of $600.00 yearly property tax credit. \n\n\n\n100% Service Connected VA Disabled veterans are also eligible\, credit will be discussed at the workshop. \n\n\n\nIf you qualify for any of these credits and have not yet filed at the Hendricks County Veterans Service Officer’s office\, please consider attending this workshop. \n\n\n\nYou must bring your DD-214\, Report of Separation\, and your latest VA disability award letter. DESCRIPTION:DANVILLE\, Ind. – Hendricks College Network (HCN) invites students\, families\, educators\, and community members to attend the Future Pathways College & Career Fair on Tuesday\, September 8\, 2026\, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds & Conference Complex. \n\n\n\nOver the last few years\, the Future Pathways has grown into one of central Indiana’s largest college and career exploration events\, bringing together colleges\, universities\, employers\, apprenticeship programs\, military branches\, workforce training providers\, career centers\, and community organizations under one roof. \n\n\n\nThe Future Pathways College & Career Fair is designed to help students\, families\, and adults explore the many pathways available after high school\, whether that means earning a college degree\, entering the workforce\, pursuing an apprenticeship\, joining the military\, or obtaining an industry certification. \n\n\n\nAttendees will have the opportunity to: \n\n\n\n\nMeet one-on-one with admissions representatives from colleges and universities.\n\n\n\nExplore careers with local employers and industry leaders.\n\n\n\nLearn about apprenticeships\, technical training\, and workforce certification programs.\n\n\n\nConnect with military recruiters and public service organizations.\n\n\n\nDiscover scholarships\, community resources\, and career planning tools.\n\n\n\n\nMore than 100 organizations are expected to participate\, representing education\, business\, healthcare\, manufacturing\, public safety\, skilled trades\, government\, and nonprofit sectors. \n\n\n\nAdmission is free\, and no pre-registration is required. However\, all attendees will be asked to register using StriveScan upon arrival. Students will receive a personalized barcode that makes it easier than ever to connect with colleges and participating organizations. \n\n\n\nTo save time at check-in\, attendees are encouraged to pre-register online (beginning August 17th) and skip the line on the night of the event.
