Blue Angel Connect Chili Cook-Off – September 25th

Blue Angel Connect is having a fundraiser Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, September 25th.  The event will be held at the Christ Presbyterian Church 7879 Carroll Road 700W in McCordsville.

The Cook-Off will consist of 8 contestants vying to have the best Chili in the area.  The contestants MUST cook chili on site.  Tasting for the public begins at 5pm and runs until 7pm.

There will be a first, second and third place award in (2) categories, Contemporary and Alternative.  There will also be a People’s Choice award.

The first, second and third place awards will be selected by our panel of judges.  Our judges for the event include:  Jim O’Brien from FOX59, Terri Stacy from WIBC, Sarah Jones from SarahJonesReports,

Mindy Winkler from HANK-FM and B105.7 along with her husband Bob Jarosinski from Roche Diagnostics and finally George Philhower from Eastern Hancock School Corporation.

This event is to help raise money for our annual Holiday Hope Event where we surprise local deserving families with Christmas. The families have no idea they have been selected and we provide gifts to the entire family including a Christmas dinner.

There will also be a Silent Auction going on as well, along with a desert table and drinks to go along with the chili. And, for a special treat, the Aw’Sum Snoball truck will be there from 4pm-7pm providing you with that New Orleans style shaved ice customizable with over 100 flavors.  If that was not enough, they will also have vanilla soft serve ice cream on board, available to be stuffed inside the Snoball for added sweetness.

Tickets are only $5/per person to sample all 8 chilies.  Tickets are available at the door or can be purchased online from our website at
