IMPD Homicide detectives investigates three persons shot in the 1800 block of Cottage Ave

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) investigates three persons shot in the 1800 block of Cottage Ave.

Just before 5:00 p.m. on 11.19.17 officers with the IMPD Southeast district were dispatched to persons shot in the 1800 block of Cottage Ave.  Officers arrived and located three persons shot.  Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) and medics arrived on the scene.  Medics pronounced the first male deceased at the scene.  A second male was located and transported to Eskenazi hospital by IEMS where he was pronounced deceased.  A female at the scene had been shot and transported to Eskenazi hospital.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and began canvassing the area and speaking to witnesses.  The Indianapolis – Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist with identifying and collecting potential forensic evidence. The Marion County Coroner’s Office (MCCO) will be assisting and will determine the exact manner and cause of death. The name of the victim can be obtained from the MCCO after proper next-of-kin notification has been made.
