IMPD Homicide detectives arrest man in Louisville for December murder

INDIANAPOLIS -On December 30, 2017 officers of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were called to the 1500 block of Goldenrod Drive reference a person down.  The male, later identified as 57-year-old Omar Rosa was found on the front porch with a defect to his body.  Homicide Detectives responded and  began thier investigation at that time.

IMPD Homicide detectives announce an arrest has been made in the death of Omar Rosa.

Roger Brewer

Detectives have identified and arrested 60-year-old Roger Brewer for his involvement in the death of Omar Rosa.  Detectives worked with the Marion County Prosecutors Office and ascertained a warrant for Roger Brewer. With the assistance of the U.S. Marshalls, IMPD’s Violent Crime Unit, Jefferson Kentucky Sheriff’s Department and the Louisville Police Department Brewer was located and arrested on of 1/9/2018 in Kentucky. Brewer is currently awaiting extradition back to Indianapolis for the charge of murder.

The IMPD would also like to recognize the work done by the Violent Crimes Unit that work tirelessly to get the most violent offenders off the streets of Indianapolis and for the cooperation and dedication of the Louisville Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.
