Gifted Indiana High School Student Accepted To The University of Southampton, England, and Launches GoFundMe Campaign In Hopes Of Fundraising Tuition Needed To Attend.

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Academy (IA) High School for Science, Mathematics and Humanities senior Steven O’Riley, Jr. has a 4.3 GPA, amassed 35 college credits, and been accepted to attend the prestigious University of Southampton in England this fall. When he arrives on campus, Steven will participate in the Computer Science program, ranked sixth out of all British universities in this field. However, the ‘when’ is the question because Steven, raised in a single-parent family, is currently unable to afford the $30,000-a-year tuition.   To help raise money for school, Steven and his mother, Yvonne Matlock, have launched a GoFundMe page which can be found at https://www.gofundme.com/steven-to-southampton.
