Brownsburg High School honors Top 25 for the Class of 2016

The Top 25 students in the Brownsburg High School Class of 2016 and their families attended the annual Top 25 Banquet at the BHS Senior Academy Thursday, May 5th.  Students were also joined by a teacher who had made a significant impact in their life.  These students will join a class of 560 graduating seniors at Brownsburg High School’s Commencement, Saturday June 4th at 10am at Roark Stadium.

At the Top 25 ceremony, Mr. Anthony Hession (BHS ’74) was named as the 2016 BHS Distinguished Alumni Award winner.  After high school, Hession attended Purdue University to study Agriculture and Management completing his degree in 1978.  Anthony has been married to his wife, Tammy, for 35 years.  They have three children who also graduated from Brownsburg High School and Purdue University:  Kelly (29), Michael (27), and Daniel (25).  Hession offers this advice to high school graduates:  “Be a person of character by being honest, by being a person of your word – do what you say you are going to do.  Be determined and focus on the objective – work hard.  But it is also important to create balance – have a little fun and relaxation along the way.”
