Arizona-Based Tech Consultancy Looks to Indiana for Growth, 175 High-Wage Jobs

INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 22, 2017) – Governor Eric J. Holcomb and Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett joined executives of Levementum, a customer relationship management (CRM) and business consultancy, today as the company announced plans to expand its operations in Indiana, creating up to 175 new, high-wage jobs by 2021.

“Innovative companies like Levementum are finding success in Indiana and helping build our economy and workforce of tomorrow,” Governor Holcomb said. “As a state, we are committed to helping job creators grow with our pro-business climate. Making $1 billion available for innovation and entrepreneurship over the next 10 years will continue this momentum and will allow businesses to focus their efforts on developing the next big idea.”

Levementum, which is headquartered near Phoenix, will equip a 5,000-square-foot space at The Union, a new building at 525 S. Meridian St. in downtown Indianapolis designed specifically for scaleup tech firms. The company, which currently utilizes co-working space at The Bureau in the city’s Fletcher Place neighborhood, plans to move into its new office next month. Levementum’s new space provides the ideal location, technical requirements and amenities for the growing company.

“Levementum is poised for growth and Indy is an amazing city with a lot of ambition and hustle,” said Michael Burton, senior vice president of Levementum. “We have secured office space that is within five blocks of a key partner’s office which will provide us the ability to continue to develop and grow that partnership and our consulting services. Selecting The Union 525 was appropriate for our expanding needs and fit well with our culture. We look forward to rapidly expanding our team of local talent this year.”

Levementum currently employs more than 42 professionals across the country, including 11 Indiana residents. The company has had a presence in Indianapolis since 2016, and established a marketing automation-focused practice here last year to broaden its expertise and become a full life-cycle, customer engagement, consulting and implementation solution company. Levementum is currently hiring consultants, developers and strategic account executives and expects to triple its employment in Indiana, reaching up to 30-40 employees by the end of 2017. New positions are expected to offer average wages more than double the state’s 2015 average of $21.21/hour.

“I am thrilled Levementum is expanding in Indianapolis and look forward to what this announcement means for our city’s thriving tech ecosystem,” said Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett. “We continue to see momentum across central Indiana, creating a strong tech environment and fostering incredible innovation. Levementum joins a landscape of major tech players such as Salesforce, Genesys and more who contribute to major gains in our city, with growing tech employment opportunities over the last two years, as highlighted in CBRE’s 2016 “Tech Thirty” report. When Develop Indy outlined this expansion and use of downtown’s innovative Union 525 building, it was clear that Levementum was the perfect fit.”

Established in 2006, Levementum helps make businesses more efficient, profitable and prepared to succeed in today’s technology-fueled world by offering full life-cycle customer engagement solutions, concentrating on industry-leading platforms and technologies, including CRM, marketing automation integrations, predictive intelligence and IoT (Internet of Things) solutions. In addition to its Arizona and Indiana locations, the company also operates a development center in El Paso, Texas.

Pending approval from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) Board of Directors, the IEDC will offer Levementum up to $3,350,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $200,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Indianapolis will provide additional incentives in partnership with its economic development entity Develop Indy, a business unit of the Indy Chamber.

Businesses in central Indiana added tech jobs at a rate of nearly 30 percent from 2013 to 2015, which is more than double the growth rate of tech jobs nationally. Making Indiana a jobs magnet is an important part of Governor Holcomb’s 2017 Next Level Legislative Agenda, which proposes accelerating this momentum across the state by making $1 billion available for innovation and entrepreneurship over the next 10 years.

“The encouragement and cooperation we’ve received from our partners at the state, the city of Indianapolis, TechPoint and KSM Location Advisors has been second-to-none, and we look forward to exponential growth here in Indianapolis,” said Burton.
