Annual BEF Drive 4 UR School Event a HUGE Success

Even a torrential downpour in the middle of the event did not deter dedicated BCSC employees and Brownsburg community members from driving a vehicle to raise money for the Brownsburg Education Foundation. With over 450 drivers this year, more than $22,000 was raised during the 2016 Drive 4 UR School event on Thursday, September 8th. The Brownsburg Education Foundation (BEF) and Bill Estes Ford partnered together again to raise money to support the children and teachers of the Brownsburg Community School Corporation. As part of the Ford Motor Company Drive 4 UR School program, members of the local Brownsburg community test drove a new Ford vehicle to raise funds to help BEF enhance education in the BCSC classrooms.

BEF Executive Director Rene Behrend said, “We are so grateful for the outstanding community support we receive each year for this event. Not only do the people at Bill Estes Ford go above and beyond to help us have a successful event, but the Brownsburg Community Schools employees come out in droves as well as parents and residents. The Brownsburg Kiwanis Club and BHS Key Club graciously volunteer their time to be driving escorts and to staff the registration table. It means a lot that the whole community joins together to support an event to help us further our mission.”

The Brownsburg Education Foundation thanks the Ford Motor Company and these area businesses who donated an amount for every drive taken:
